Heather graduated from Northeastern State University in 2004 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She began working in the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office in 2005, as an employee in the support staff division until 2008, when she began attending law school at the University of Tulsa. While attending law school, Heather continued her work in the District Attorney’s Office as an intern. After graduating from law school in 2011, Heather began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Tulsa County. She worked in the Juvenile Division of the office handling delinquent cases before moving to the Felony Division. As a felony prosecutor, Heather primarily handled Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault cases, areas in which she felt a calling to prosecute and advocate for the victims.  Prosecuting such contentious cases allowed Heather to cultivate and sharpen her trial, advocacy and negotiating skills, with her ultimately taking more than two dozen felony cases to jury trial.  Heather has always felt passionate about helping victims of violence and looks forward to continuing that passion with her transition to family law practice. Heather lives in Broken Arrow with her husband and two children. She and her family enjoy watching college football and spending time at the lake.
